I had such a good day yesterday. I slept a good part of the early afternoon away. I was *supposed* to run around and do a few things, but, really it was all Murphy’s fault. *ahem* We went out to potty around noon and had every intention of going to the park and meeting a friend and going shopping…. But MAN, it was sooooo cold! So, Murphy (and Luna) dragged me back upstairs to the apartment and FORCED me back into bed! I couldn’t fight them off. They are soooo strong!! hehehehe So, we slept until about 3:00!!!!
I called my other friend, whose husband has had a long term battle with cancer and several other illnesses that have followed to find out what time we should get together and she was running around. So, she informed me that I should take my time about getting there. BIG mistake. LOL I piddled and played and didn’t end up leaving the apartment until around 5:00! We ended up having the best visit though. She had requested that I bring the dogs to visit with her hubby to help cheer him up. That plan totally backfired. *cough* He was feeling especially crotchety and wanted no part of the dogs – or me. 
She and I, however, had a blast! We cooked up a storm. We made a kickass eggplant dish and southern tuna cake with cornbread. It was a dinner to die for!!! Since her husband is on a tube feeding, she doesn’t enjoy cooking and eating the same as she used to. And, since I live alone, I don’t enjoy cooking the same as I used to either. Boy, put us together in her amazing kitchen and the smells and tastes wafted around like HEAVEN! We were supahstars! Then, she pulled out some incredible organic chocolate truffles. *moans* ooooooooh, DAMN! They were awesome. I was instructed to pop them in my mouth and NOT chew. Are you SERIOUS?!?! I have zero self control! I did it with much complaint at first, muting to absolutely no words. You’d have thought there was something very naughty going on in that dining room based on the gutteral noises. LOL WOW. I’m going to have to take a trip over to Whole Foods myself!!!!
We visited for several hours and I made the jaunt back home. I spent the remainder of the evening in my, now, usual way – on the phone for a couple of hours talking to my friend, giggling and laughing. It was another great Saturday.
Today has been much the same as yesterday – laaaaaaaazeeeeeee. Wheeeee. I was supposed to go to the laundromat, but ended up on the phone with my mom and dad, my aunt Carole (planning our Jekyll Island trip in 2 weeks), and my friend that I’m going to have dinner with in a little bit. I suppose I should go get ready since it is officially afternoon now. MAN, I love weekends. Nothing like spoiling yourself rotten. *sigh*
Welp, guess I’ll go throw this stinky ol’ body in the shower and let the dust settle. 
Gonna go meet my middle school friends today – haven’t seen them in almost 20 years!!!! It’s gonna be so fun!!!
