Everyone has a history. I started blogging in 2006 as a replacement for journaling. It was love at first post. I had no idea how to do it, where to do it, or anything about all the possiblilties. I just touched the keyboard and ran. I wasn’t doing it to entertain or become famous or send secret messages or anything else. It was a way to get my feelings out and try to make sense of the swirling thoughts in my head. Who knew if it would even work? I started on Yahoo 360 and continued for 3 years! In 2009, Yahoo shut it all down. They opted for a fully integrated profile, which incorporated existing 360 blogs. Because my anonymity was important to me, I opted NOT to continue there. As a result, I have imported all of my old posts so as to enjoy my chunks of history at will. Now, I have traveled here and have made my new home at wordpress. For whatever reason, the pictures and links aren’t displaying properly after being imported here. This is so disappointing. The important thing, though, is that my thoughts have been preserved. If I find the desire or energy, I may someday go back and try to correct it all. Until then, it is what is – simply history, preserved in its imperfection, but preserved nonetheless…. So, everything from May 30, 2009 and back is not so darn pretty.
Rather apropos, isn’t it? Since history and life itself isn’t so pretty and, in fact, quite messy. I once made a decision, coined a phrase, and created one of my all time favorite posts: the point of all my days is simply to try to find beauty in weeds.
